Pleasant Valley’s girls lacrosse team rebounded from its first loss by cruising to a win over Saucon Valley on Tuesday.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Pleasant Valley-Saucon Valley
Rylee Rath scored nine goals to lead Pleasant Valley to a 15-7 non-league victory over Saucon Valley.
Sam Miller had three goals, and Brielle Halamar added three assists.
The Bears held a 9-6 halftime lead, and extended it to 12-7 after three quarters.

SOFTBALL
Marian-Minersville
Minersville pushed across the winning run on a wild pitch in the home sixth, and the Battlin’ Miners edged Marian, 5-4, in Schuylkill League play.
Katie Knock, who had two RBIs, smacked a run-scoring double that helped the Fillies tie the game at four in the top of the sixth.
Hailey Treskolasky singled in the first inning to put Marian on the board, and later ripped a triple in the fifth that gave the Fillies a 2-1 lead.
Treskolasky and Kayla Birrer each had two hits for Marian, which dropped its third straight.

Pleasant Valley-Parkland
A sacrifice fly off the bat of Shayla Jenkins in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Parkland to a 7-6 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win over visiting Pleasant Valley.
Rylan Knapp, the Bears’ shortstop, keyed a three-run sixth inning with an RBI double and later knotted the score in the seventh with a run-scoring single which scored Lydia Borger.
Mia Battaglino (fielder’s choice RBI) and Rylee Green (RBI single which scored Knapp) both chipped in for PV.
The Bears’ Emma George also added a single, double, walk and run scored.

Marian’s Schuylkill League contest at Minersville was suspended in the 10th inning with the scored tied at 5-5.
The game’s completion will take place this afternoon.
BOYS TENNIS
Moravian Academy-Lehighton
Moravian Academy finished the Colonial League regular season unbeaten as the Lions defeated Lehighton by a 5-0 score.
Every Moravian victory came in straight sets, as the Lions increased their winning streak to 10.
Sweeping singles play were Aveer Chadka, Nikhil Skandan and Leonard Anthony.
