The Palmerton tennis team continued its strong season with a victory on Friday.

BOYS TENNIS

Pen Argyl-Palmerton

Palmerton earned a 3-2 Colonial League victory over Pen Argyl.

The Blue Bombers picked up wins in both singles and doubles play, with Levi Johnson and Colton Ruzicka earning single victories, while the team of Kevin O’Neill and Chase Sebelin posted a win in doubles play.

Central Catholic

Unbeaten Allentown Central Catholic used a six-run first inning to pull away for a 9-1 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over Pleasant Valley.

Gavin Bates drove in the Bears’ lone run, while Chase Borger added a hit. Owen Walters scored Pleasant Valley’s only run and also stole two bases.

Saucon Vy.-Pleasant Vy.

Saucon Valley used a seven-run sixth inning to pull away for a 13-3 non-league victory over Pleasant Valley.

Rylee Green and Rylan Knapp each collected two hits for the Bears, while Knapp and Mia Battaglino drove in runs. Madeline Abbatiello also doubled and scored a run.
