State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a theft reported by a resident North Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

A 63-year-old Brodheadsville resident told police she had an appointment at 10 a.m. Dec. 31 when she received a notification about two charges made to her account in the amount of $1,800.

• Aneudy Martinez, 24, of the Bronx, New York, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop at 10:34 a.m. Feb. 25.

He was stopped in a 2022 Honda Accord for Motor Vehicle Code violations on Interstate 80 eastbound in Kidder Township.

Police said he had marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

• Police are investigating a reckless endangerment incident that occurred at 9:53 a.m. Feb. 27 at a property on Twin Pine and Pine Mountain roads, Jackson Township.

A 35-year-old woman from Cresco told police two men were involved in a physical fight on Lentz Lane and that she went to hide in a camper bathroom during the fight. She said while she was in the bathroom an arrow came through the camper and just missed striking her in the head, becoming lodged in a door.

The woman told police she didn’t know who shot the arrow but realized the arrow was familiar to her and remembered a man who owned a crossbow and used the same type of arrows. She told police the accused admitted to shooting the arrow the next time they spoke.

Police did not make an arrest or identify who shot the arrow.

• Andrea Trbuza, 65, of Brodheadsville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police responded to a report of an erratic driver at 6:56 p.m. Feb. 19 on Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she was driving a 2019 Honda Civic and was traveling “all over the road” before coming to a stop at the intersection with Route 115. They said she was holding up traffic due to blocking the intersection with the traffic signal having turned green several times.

• Police are investigating a theft reported by a 62-year-old woman from Albrightsville.

The resident of Longfellow Circle, Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest Township, told police at 10:46 a.m. Feb. 17 she had been in contact with someone through Facebook Market Place, where she attempted to purchase firewood for her residence.

She said the business went by Mike’s Firewood Supplies and requested $150 in up-front payments and $100 when the delivery was made. The woman said she paid the up-front fee and never heard from the supplier again.

• Police were called to a firearm case at 8:40 a.m. Feb. 24 at a property on Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

They said a Springfield Armory 9 mm, 16-round magazine, a Springfield EX-9 and a Winchester 9 mm luger were found at the site.

It was determined the registered owner had left them unattended inside a bathroom stall.

• Police said a 35-year-old Lawrenceville man was taken into custody at 11:55 a.m. March 14 at a property on Rainbow Way, Jackson Township.

The man was apprehended on a warrant service call, charged with “arrest prior to requisition” and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.

• Police responded to a Protection From Abuse court order violation at 3:04 p.m. March 15 on Rainbow Way, Jackson Township.

The victim is a 62-year-old woman from Stroudsburg.

• Jeremiah Smith, 24, of Tobyhanna, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 9:19 p.m. March. 12.

He was stopped in a 2014 Buick Encore on Commercial Boulevard, Tobyhanna Township.
