Turnpike crashes

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Mark S. Hagerty, 44, of Albrightsville, was uninjured after a two-vehicle crash at 2 p.m. March 14 at mile marker 78 in Franklin Township.

Police said he was driving a 2023 Ford Transit northbound when he changed lanes and was struck by a Chevrolet S-10 pickup.

The latter vehicle had minor damage but its operator fled the scene.

• Austin S. Hinkle, 24, of Weissport, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 2:50 a.m. March 1 at mile marker 71.7 in East Penn Township.

He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2023 Chevrolet northbound when it left the road, drove through a guide rail and struck an embankment on the east side of the highway.

The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
