Lehigh Gap Nature Center seeks input for 5-year plan

Folks are invited to participate in a short online questionnaire that will help guide the future of the Lehigh Gap Nature Center.

To develop its next five-year plan, the center near Slatington is looking for input from members, nonmembers and business partners.

“This survey offers an opportunity to share how Lehigh Gap Nature Center can best serve YOU,” said Chad Schwartz, the center’s executive director.

The center, which is on the Kittatinny Ridge and near the Delaware & Lehigh and Appalachian trails and the Lehigh River, is a member-supported nonprofit organization aimed at protecting wildlife in the area and enhancing nearby habitats. It’s also a place for all to gather, learn and explore.

Schwartz explained that survey participants will be asked questions such as what they value most — or least — about the center’s offerings, and what improvements they would like to see.

“Such input is invaluable in shaping LGNC’s goals,” Schwartz said.

The anonymous survey will help determine where the center is going next.

“As LGNC plans its next five years, the board of directors and staff are committed to structuring our strategic priorities around the needs and interests of local community members,” Schwartz said.

The survey takes between 10 and 15 minutes.

“By taking just a few minutes to share your important feedback, you can help LGNC best meet the needs and interests of the thousands of people we reach each year,” Schwartz said.
