Police: Crash suspect had suspended license

An Easton man believed to be in a hit-and-run crash on March 9 was charged by Tamaqua police with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, officers were notified of a hit-and-run that had just occurred at the intersection of routes 309 and 54 in Rush Township. Police received a description of the vehicle and stopped it around 12:30 p.m. in Tamaqua.

Officers spoke to the driver, Martin Hagadorn, 43, who did not admit to being in the crash but said something had happened to his driver’s side mirror.

When police obtained his information, they learned that his license had been suspended.
