Rush Township has a new secretary/treasurer.

At a special meeting held Monday, supervisors voted unanimously to appoint Janel Moyer to the post.

She will be paid $25 per hour.

A resident questioned whether the new secretary would be receiving health benefits. Because she will not work a 40-hour week unless necessary, board Chairman George Gerhard said benefits will not be provided.

Moyer will replace Becky Coccio-Roberts.
