Quilt guild to meet Friday in Palmerton
The next meeting of the Sew What Quilt Guild is Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Palmerton Area Library.
The completed kits for the small wall hanging for the 250th America Anniversary must be returned by the March meeting. If you cannot attend this meeting, please drop off your wall hanging at the library.
For those members who wish to participate in the block contest, the white material for the block was distributed at the February meeting. If you didn’t attend this meeting, you can pick up the fabric at the library. This block must be returned by the April 10 meeting.
The guild will be having a basket raffle at the library. Baskets can be any theme (no alcohol). The baskets will be due no later than the April 10 meeting. You can ask for items or donations from businesses.
Also, go through your stash to make a basket or contribute to another basket. You can also contribute money so items can be purchased for a basket that will have a minimum value of $35. If you are not able to wrap your basket, drop it at the library or bring to the March or April meeting to be wrapped. The raffle will continue through the Airing of the Quilts on May 2. The proceeds will be split 50/50 with the Palmerton library.
The Lancaster-Lebanon Quilt Show in Lebanon will be March 25-28. If you can help sell raffle tickets for the Airing of the Quilts, contact Judy Borger at borger.judy@gmail.com.
There will be Show ‘N Tell. Hope to see you at the next meeting. For more information about the Sew What Quilt Guild, contact Terri Sheckler at 570-386-5242 or Brenda Wentz at 610-216-2165.
