State police at Bethlehem - crashes
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:20 a.m. Jan. 23 in North Whitehall Township.
Police said the crash occurred when Rosemary McAndrew, 59, of Schnecksville, was driving a 2018 Ford Escape on Neffs Laurys Road and failed to clear the intersection with Route 329 before proceeding through.
Her Escape was struck by a 1998 Ford Ranger driven by George J. Lemak Jr., 58, of Slatington, police said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
McAndrew was cited after the crash, according to police.
• Xavier W. Gross, 19, of Lehighton, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 7:23 p.m. Jan. 15 on Route 145 in North Whitehall Township.
He and two passengers, Cody Locher, 18, of Parryville, and Madison L. Lutsko, 21, of Nesquehoning, were uninjured in the crash.
Police said Gross was driving a 2010 Honda CRV too fast for conditions when the vehicle began to fishtail on a curve. The Honda veered right off the roadway, striking an embankment and continuing until it overturned, police said.
• Danielle M. Wilson, 49, of Effort, had minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash at 5:09 p.m. Jan. 17 at the intersection of Airport and Catasauqua roads in Hanover Township.
Police said she did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.
They said the crash occurred when a 17-year-old boy from Allentown was driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Airport Road South and was traveling too fast for icy road conditions. They said the Jeep hit a 2024 Kia Telluride driven by Wilson, after which the Telluride hit the back of a 2021 Nissan Rogue operated by Nicholle K. Kutz, 44, of Bethlehem.
Police said all three vehicles were damaged but able to be driven from the scene.
The Allentown boy and two passengers with Kutz, Richard T. Wilson, 59, and a 13-year-old boy, both from Effort, were uninjured, police said.
