A 54-year-old Slatington woman is the victim of a terroristic threats incident that occurred at 3:42 p.m. Dec. 27 at the intersection of North Balliet and Catawissa streets, Frackville.

Police reported the incident this week.

They said she told them that she was northbound in a 2024 Kia on Route 61 in New Castle Township when a suspect began waving an ax out of the window of his white Kia SUV that was traveling behind her car.

Police said as the woman approached a red light at Route 61 and Spring Street in Frackville, the man exited his vehicle and approached her car while holding the ax in the air.

The woman told police she fled the scene to a safe location, while the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

He is described as being about 6 feet tall with a “chunky” build, short dark hair, possible facial hair and glasses.
