State police at Fogelsville - crashes
State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:
• Viola Bartholomew, 86, and Yongae Kim, 56, both of Allentown, were injured in a three-vehicle crash at 12:32 p.m. on Jan. 7 on Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township.
Police said the two were transported by personnel from the Macungie Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.
They said the crash occurred when Bartholomew was driving a 2017 Ford Focus that failed to stop at a steady red traffic signal and the struck a 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by Kim and a 2023 Toyota Highlander operated by Traci A. Hoffman, 46, of Slatington.
Police said all three vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
Bartholomew was cited for after the crash, according to police.
• William P. Gibson, 23, of Germansville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a one-vehicle crash at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 28 on Kistler Road, Lowhill Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.
Police said he was driving a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta west when he lost control of it and the vehicle crossed the opposite lane, left the road and hit a tree.
The car was towed from the scene.
• Madisyn P. Zoll, 25, of Schnecksville, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 1:29 a.m. on Dec. 21 on Game Preserve Road, Lowhill Township.
Police said she did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.
They said she was driving a 2012 Subaru Forester eastbound when she swerved to avoid debris in the road. The vehicle traveled off the road and struck a PVC farm fence and a utility pole.
Zoll was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
• A 17-year-old boy from Mahanoy City was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 5:26 p.m. on Sept. 22, 2025, on Route 100 in Lowhill Township. Police reported the incident this week. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said the teen was riding a 2020 Yamaha motorcycle when he made an illegal pass on the right shoulder of the road while negotiating a right turn. He tried to stop the motorcycle, resulting in it going down on its side and sliding into a 2025 Dodge Ram 5500 operated by River R. Perez, 28, of Macungie.
Police said the teen ran from the scene before their arrival but was located and taken into custody about two hours later.
• A 26-year-old Allentown man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 2:55 a.m. on Dec. 13 on Route 309 in Lynn Township.
Police said he was driving a 2004 Nissan Titan that crashed at the intersection of Route 309 and Appalachian Trail.
• A 25-year-old Schnecksville woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a one-vehicle crash at 1:29 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the intersection of Game Preserve and Weidasville roads in Lowhill Township.
Police said she was driving a 2012 Subaru Forester that crashed.
• Brenton J. Krempasky, 23, of Slatington, was involved in a one-vehicle crash at 6:10 a.m. on Dec. 9 on King’s Street in Lynn Township.
Police said he refused a medical services transport from the scene.
They said he was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze westbound when the car left the roadway and hit a tree.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Police said Krempasky was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
