Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Jan. 15 with 23 members present.

President Jean Machamer opened the meeting with the invocation, “A Prayer of Thanks,” recited by a member.

One member was added to the sick list. The group thanked all members who brought snacks. The meeting closed and bingo and cards were played.

The group meets at 1 p.m. Thursdays at the Coaldale Complex, weather permitting.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Debra Rogers will present the morning Biblical message at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown. There will be a special music presentation in the service. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:45 a.m. and there will be a 6:30 p.m. Sunday time of worship for all ages.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, there is a prayer and care for all ages.

All are invited.

Zion Lewistown

Zion Men will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hall.

The church service scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley will be available remotely. Pastor Jim Williams will conduct the service by Facebook and telephone. The congregational meeting scheduled for Sunday will be postponed until Feb. 1.

St. Peter’s - West Penn

The Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn is at 9 a.m. followed by Adult Sunday School at 10:15 a.m. Organizational reports are due in the office. On Jan. 29, the Cherub Choir meets at 6 p.m. followed by the Senior Choir at 7 p.m.
