One person was killed Thursday night in a chain-reaction crash on Route 380 in Tobyhanna Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said a vehicle was traveling south in the right lane of Interstate 380 near mile marker 2.5 at 9:21 p.m. when the driver came upon a crash involving two other vehicles.

The first vehicle hit the second one, which was disabled in the right lane, and spun it around.

The driver of the second vehicle was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene.

The first vehicle continued and hit the third vehicle, sending both of them into the guide rail, police said.

According to police, the driver of the third vehicle was suspected to be driving under the influence.

No other details were released Friday.
