Fire companies from Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne countries responded to a working garbage fire Thursday afternoon in the village of Tresckow.

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. at 42 Market St.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found a large wood frame garage fully involved in flames. An additional call went out for tankers. It is believed several vehicles were lost in the blaze.

A state police fire marshal has been requested to the scene.
