Theresa Santai Gaffney, Schuylkill County register of wills and clerk of the Orphans Court, released the activities reports for December and for 2025.

In December, 69 estates were processed, 50 marriage licenses were issued and five adoptions were completed. Approximately $1.15 million in inheritance tax was remitted to the commonwealth and $40,974 in county fees were collected.

For the year, 636 estates were processed, 687 marriage licenses were issued and 28 adoptions were completed.

Approximately $13.1 million in inheritance tax was remitted to the commonwealth and $516,466 in county fees were collected. INH tax commission remitted to the register of wills was $91,119
