State police at Bethlehem - crashes

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:

• Ashley M. Vanblargan, 40, of Slatedale, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 10 on Trout Road, Heidelberg Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

They said she was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse east when she lost control of it and the vehicle struck a bridge rail on the side of the road.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 9:48 a.m. Dec. 12 at the intersection of Route 873 and Foxcroft Drive in North Whitehall Township.

Police said the crash occurred as a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was stopped in the westbound lane of Foxcroft Drive when the driver attempted to turn left and entered the southbound lane of Route 873, where it was struck by a 2004 Toyota Corolla.

Police said both vehicles had minor damage.

They did not provide the names of the operators of the vehicles in their report.

• Julio C. Gonzalez, 31, of Allentown, and Austin T. Bittenbender, 18, of Germansville, were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:03 p.m. Dec. 25 on Bake Oven Road, Heidelberg Township.

Police said they were transported by personnel from the Northern Valley and Cetronia ambulance corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township. They said the severity of their injuries is unknown.

Police said the crash occurred when Gonzalez was driving a 2016 Honda Accord that failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection with Saegersville Road, entering the intersection and striking a 2016 Toyota RAV4 driven by Bittenbender.

Gonzalez was cited after the crash, according to police.

• William D. Filipovits, 23, of Schnecksville, is facing charges of driving under the influence and a citation for failure to drive at a safe speed after a three-vehicle crash at 4:55 p.m. Nov. 21 at the intersection of routes 309 and 100 in Heidelberg Township, police said. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said Filipovits was driving a 2011 Honda Pilot west when it struck the rear of a 2016 Dodge Caravan operated by George O. Agengo, 46, of Northampton, causing the Caravan to strike a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Jeffrey D. Stone, 63, of Schnecksville.
