Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu from Dec. 31-Jan.2.

Wednesday: BBQ Brisket Sandwich, Corn, Cole Slaw, Melon or Tuna Sandwich.

Thursday: Center Closed.

Friday: Center Closed.

The center also announced the following events:

New Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m.; Center closed on Jan. 1 and 2.

Scattergories on Jan. 5 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Jan. 6 at 10:45 a.m.; Cornhole and Ax Throwing Game on Jan. 7 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m.; Minute to Win It on Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Cards, Pool, Games available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. For more information or to sign up, call the center from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday at 570-669-9930.

Hometown Heroes

The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is open for 2026. Deadline to purchase a new banner is Feb. 5.

If you purchased a banner in 2023, 2024 and 2025, you have been contacted with the renewal information. Deadline for renewals is Jan. 30.

PV Library

The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, has announced that effective Jan. 2, evening hours will change. Thursday hours will move to 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Other hours of operation remain the same.
