Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu from Dec. 22-26.
Monday: BBQ Riblet, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Cookie or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich
Tuesday: Potato Leek Soup, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Peas, Melon or BBQ Chicken Sandwich
Wednesday: Stuffed Pepper, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Yogurt or Greek Salad
Thursday: Center Closed
Friday: Center Closed
The center has also announced the following upcoming events:
Movie and Popcorn on Dec. 19 at 10 a.m.
Bingo on Dec. 22 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Dec. 23 at 11 a.m.; Game Day on Dec. 24 at 10:30 a.m.; Center closed on Dec. 25 and 26.
Horse racing on Dec. 29 at 11 a.m.; Games on Dec. 30 at 11 a.m.; New Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m.; Center closed on Jan. 1 and 2.
Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Hometown Hero banners
The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2026.
If you would like to purchase a new banner, applications are available by calling one of the contacts below. Deadline to purchase a new banner is Feb. 5, 2026.
Also if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2023, 2024, and 2025, you have already been contacted and provided with the renewal information. Deadline for renewals is Jan. 30, 2026.

PV Library
The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, has announced that effective Jan. 2, evening hours will change.
Thursday hours will move to 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Other hours of operation remain the same.
