Woman charged in man’s drug death

A Northampton County woman has waived charges to Monroe County Court in connection with a Polk Township drug-related death.

Marketa Dorrah, 29, appeared for a preliminary hearing Thursday before District Judge Kristina Anzini of Stroudsburg. She faces charges including involuntary manslaughter, drug delivery resulting in death, related conspiracy counts, and drug-delivery offenses. She remains in Monroe County Prison under $200,000 cash bail, with formal arraignment set for Jan. 16, 2026.

The charges stem from the Feb. 22, 2023, death of Bryan Hildebrant, who was found dead on a couch in his Polk Township home. Drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine and heroin/fentanyl were on a nearby table.

An autopsy showed Hildebrant died of an overdose involving methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Police reviewed data from Hildebrant’s cellphone, which showed he had been communicating with a contact saved as “Keeta.” Dorrah had previously provided that same phone number to police. Location data placed Hildebrant in Allentown late on Feb. 17 into early Feb. 18, where he was arranging to buy heroin/fentanyl from Dorrah. Messages showed they had coordinated to meet in a parking lot, where he said he would be arriving in a Toyota. A witness later told investigators he had driven Hildebrant to Allentown that night in a Toyota Avalon so Hildebrant could buy drugs. The same witness said he had been at Hildebrant’s home when he died and described Hildebrant as a mid-level dealer.

Investigators reported no evidence of any other drug suppliers between the February purchase and Hildebrant’s death.

Dorrah waived all charges to court.
