State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to Coal Street in Blythe Township at 7:33 a.m. Nov. 23 for a report of the welfare of a child being endangered.

The incident involving a 4-year-old girl from Cumbola is under investigation.

• A 27-year-old man from Tamaqua was charged with simple assault and harassment after police were called to an incident at 2:38 p.m. Nov. 16 on Ben Titus Road, Rush Township.

Police said a 60-year-old woman from Tamaqua, who is the aunt of the suspect, reported that her nephew shoved her to the ground, resulting in a shoulder injury.
