It is back to negotiations between Nesquehoning officials and one of its unions, after council voted the most recent proposal down.
On Wednesday, in a 6-0 vote, with Councilwoman Suzanne Smith abstaining, council voted against a new Teamsters contract with the office clerks.
Council President David Hawk said after the meeting that council was not happy with what had been negotiated so far.
“There’s a couple things in there that we didn’t like,” he said, adding that negotiations will now continue.
Two office staff are under this union contract, with the current contract expiring Dec. 31.
