Police said Daniel M. Webber Jr., 32, of Orwigsburg, was injured in a crash at 6:06 a.m. Oct. 30 on Summer Valley Road (Route 895) in West Brunswick Township.
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the severity of his injuries is unknown. He was transported by personnel from the Schuylkill EMS to the Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.
A second victim, Ryley J. Fahringer, 23, of Lehighton, had suspected minor injuries but did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.
Police said the crash occurred as Webber was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck eastbound and Fahringer was operating a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander westbound when they came upon a tree down in the roadway. Police said the vehicles hit the tree, resulting in disabling damage to both of them.
Meanwhile, police said, Matthew F. Engler, 46, of Summit Hill, was operating a 2018 Subaru Legacy westbound and was able to come to a stop before striking the tree.
The Legacy was then struck from behind by a 2013 Nissan Maxima driven by Scott A. Huish Jr., 40, of New Ringgold.
Engler, Alexander S. Roberts, 35, of Nesquehoning, a passenger with Engler, and Huish were all uninjured, police said.
