State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Katherine E. Snider, 22, of Tuscarora, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:46 p.m. Oct. 30 on Church Street in East Brunswick Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Schuylkill EMS corps to Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital in Orwigsburg.

Police said she was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala south when she attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve and lost control of the car. It struck a guide rail and was towed from the scene.

Snider was cited after the crash, police said.

• Melissa A. Marocchini, 45, of Ringtown, was injured after a three-vehicle crash at 4:19 p.m. Oct. 28 on the Vulcan Hill (Route 54) in Mahanoy Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Ryan Township Emergency & Rescue Squad to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale.

They said the crash occurred when Charles V. Schuster, 71, of Pikesville, Maryland, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Express that pulled out of a parking lot to go west on the Vulcan Hill and attempted to make a U-turn, entering the path of a 2023 Kia Sportage driven west by Marocchini.

Police said a 2000 Ford F-350 driven by Brady L. Smith, 23, of Wilburn, hit the back of the Sportage, pushing it into the Express.

Police said the Express and F-350 had functional damage, while the Sportage had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Schuster and Smith were uninjured.

Police said Schuster was cited after the crash.

• Conrad D. Bartholomew, 71, of Covington, had possible injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 2:38 p.m. Oct. 15 in Catawissa Street in Schuylkill Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima northbound when it left the roadway, struck an embankment and spun about 180 degrees. The car had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• A 55-year-old Nesquehoning man was uninjured when the vehicle he was driving on Interstate 81 in Butler Township hit a deer that entered its path.

Police said he was operating a 2020 Ford Explorer when the crash occurred at 10:47 p.m. Oct. 29. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Seth V. Paskali, 20, of Leetonia, Ohio, and John R. Brothers, 25, of Tamaqua, were injured after a two-vehicle crash at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 31 at the intersection of Route 209 and Catawissa Street in Schuylkill Township.

Police said they were transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, by personnel from the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association and the Ryan Township Emergency & Rescue Squad, respectively.

Police said the crash occurred when Paskali, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, traveled across Route 209 into the path of a westbound 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Brothers. Police said the vehicles collided and the Equinox rolled onto its driver’s side.

Paskali was cited after the crash, according to police.
