State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Mark P. Licina Jr., 22, of Delano, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 6:55 p.m. Oct. 26 on Interstate 81 in Delano Township.

Police said he was driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma southbound when it traveled off the roadway and hit a medal guide rail.

The Tacoma had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• A 32-year-old Nesquehoning man is the victim of a crash in which a Gordon woman was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Barbara Bechtel, 66, was taken into custody after they responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a 2024 Subaru Impreza and a 2018 Toyota RAV4 at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 26 at the intersection of South 21st and Centre streets in Ashland.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:31 p.m. Oct. 24 on Skyline Drive, Blythe Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Jeffrey J. Blanchek Jr., 31, of Frackville, was driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra that struck the rear of a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Damien M. Deihm, 24, of Ringtown, after the latter abruptly braked due to a traffic backup.

Police said a lane was closed at the time due to the area being an active work zone.

The Sentra had disabling damage and was towed from the scene, while the Grand Cherokee had minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene.

Blanchek was cited because his registration card was not signed, police said.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:34 p.m. Oct. 21 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.

Police said it involved a 2020 Ford Fusion driven by Jordan D. Becker, 31, of Mechanicsburg, and a 2016 International Harvester operated by Asmir Brgulja, 35, of Enola.

They said the Fusion left the roadway, entering the median and striking an unknown object, sustaining minor cosmetic damage. The International Harvester did not have visible damage, police said.
