State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 59-year-old man from Stroudsburg is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 1:42 a.m. Oct. 26.
He was stopped in a 2025 Kia Sportage for a traffic violation on West Main Street in Stroudsburg.
• A 44-year-old man from Tobyhanna is facing charges of theft from a motor vehicle.
Police said he arrived at the rear parking lot of the state police barracks on Parkside Avenue in Tobyhanna Township at 4:23 a.m. Oct. 23 and accessed an unlocked 2017 Toyota RAV4 and an unlocked 2025 GMC Sierra and attempted to steal $45 and miscellaneous items valued at $200. Police said the stolen items were recovered.
Victims in the incident are two men, 45 and 50, both from Blakeslee.
• A 27-year-old man from Effort is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Police said he was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township when he was stopped.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 9:26 p.m. Oct. 3 to Mohegan Circle, Penn Forest Township, after which they arrested Frank Charamonte, 56, of Albrightsville.
Victims in the incident are Karen Charamonte, 55, and Jennifer Cerisano, 52, both from Albrightsville, and Frank Raffaele, 67, of Philadelphia.
Police said one of the victims said that she and the suspect became involved in a verbal argument about him being highly intoxicated. She said he left the apartment and returned, kicking the door and then smashing a bedroom window.
Police said Charamonte was taken into custody and transported to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning.
Property damage was estimated at $1,500.
• Mikheil Shatirishvili, 48, of Albrightsville, was cited for simple harassment after police were called to Gower Road, Penn Forest Township, at 8:31 p.m. Oct. 18.
Police said through their investigation it was determined the complainant’s husband slapped their 4-year-old daughter in the face, causing a visible injury.
• A 17-year-old Jim Thorpe boy was cited for simple trespass after police were called to Leslie Lane, Penn Forest Township, at 11:57 a.m. Oct. 17.
Police said Ashley Davis, 39, of Jim Thorpe, told them the boy knowingly entered her property when he was aware he is not privileged to do so, causing an inconvenience to the property owner.
• Sandra Valentin, 49, of Albrightsville, was cited for criminal mischief after police responded to an incident at 3:54 p.m. Oct. 18 on Spokane Road, Penn Forest Township.
Police said Valentin arrived at the home of 56-year-old Albrightsville man and damaged a doorbell camera valued at $99.
