Assistant Slatington Fire Chief Justin Frable is assessing the damage from a collapsed roof Thursday evening.

The Slatington Fire Department was dispatched at 4:50 p.m. to a collapsed roof at 748 Main Street, Slatington, an apartment building with five units. Everyone was safe. The fire department went to each apartment and checked for damage. They found no damage but remained on scene until a general contractor arrived to secure the piece of roof that was detached by the wind the night before.
