Harmonies for Hunger

Harmonies for Hunger will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, 200 E. Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua. Join in to help fight hunger. A freewill offering will be taken to benefit the Tamaqua Community Hunger Campaign. Bring a donation or a canned good.

Calvary Lewistown

All are invited to Rally Day 2025 activities on Sunday at Calvary Evangelical Church, 824 Catawissa Road, in the Lewistown Valley of Tamaqua.

The church’s Sunday school will present a program of Bible-based lessons at 11 a.m.

The event will also feature Jared and Katie Wehry of Northumberland, who will present a free gospel concert at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Jared is a son from the former Wehry Family Gospel Singers. For more information, call 570-952-1678.

The church will have its prayer and share at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

There will be a happy pumpkin carving party at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle at 2 p.m. Oct. 18. Pumpkins will be provided. It is open to children and adults.

St. Peter’s — West Penn

The 9 a.m. Sunday service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will have a Joyous Noise offering. Children will be dismissed for Sunday school after the offering. Adult Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m.

Tuesday is the deadline for the November newsletter and calendar. The Prayer Group meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

On Oct. 16, the Cherub Choir rehearses at 6 p.m., followed by the Senior Choir at 7 p.m.
