Randy W. Fink, 54, of Germansville, was injured in a four-vehicle pileup at 7:38 a.m. Oct. 2 on Interstate 78 in Allentown, state police at the Fogelsville barracks said.
Police said he did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.
They said the crash occurred when Charles R. Kennedy Jr., 67, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 eastbound that hit the back of a 2016 Toyota Corolla driven by Hayley S. McCarthy, 25, of Nashville, Tennessee, who had slowed down due to traffic congestion.
Police said the F-150 was then hit from behind by a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Fink, and that the Colorado was subsequently hit from behind by a 2018 Nissan Rogue operated by Luis R. Mendez Liriano, 31, of Allentown.
Police said the Colorado and Rogue had disabling damage and were towed from scene.
They said that Kennedy, Fink and Mendez Liriano were all cited for following too closely.
Fink was the only person hurt in the chain-reaction crash, police said.
