State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:01 a.m. Sept. 19 at the intersection of Indian Creek Road and Danbury Court, Upper Milford Township.

Police said the crash occurred as Fernando Alvarez, 32, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2003 Ford Econoline west on Indian Creek Road, preparing to turn left onto Danbury Court, when he turned directly in front of a 2017 Infiniti driven by Tyler J. Haring, 20, of Emmaus, causing the collision.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Alvarez was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Police said the driver of a 2007 Subaru Legacy that struck a mailbox in the 6400 block of Schochary Road, Lynn Township, fled the scene.

The incident occurred at 4:18 p.m. Sept. 8 when the car was southbound. Police said the driver was negotiating a slight left curve when the car traveled off the right side of the road and hit the mailbox.

• Nathan L. Daubert, 42, of Lehighton, was uninjured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:03 p.m. Sept. 8 on Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 Subaru west on the interstate when a tractor-trailer merged in front of the Subaru and its trailer struck the vehicle. The Subaru was towed from the scene.

Police said the rig continued westbound on the interstate without stopping.
