Weatherly Borough Council

Weatherly Borough Council took the following actions and comments last week:

• Approved a transition from the Pension Plan Investment Company from Truist to Principal Trust Company. The borough did not have time for a request for proposal, but may shop around at a later date.

• Approved a request from Lausanne Township to purchase road salt/anti-skid at cost from the borough.

• Approved a list of items for sale on Municibid from the police department.

• Heard from Lee Baker about goats being kept on a property on Butz Street, and if there was any resolution to alleviate the conditions, including stench.

Nanovic said that if the goats were present before council passed the ordinance prohibiting them, they may be grandfathered. But the borough could take action if there was a public nuisance, he said.

• Heard from Steve Weichman about being singled out for garbage put out too early by the borough due to the recent Hillclimb event. Borough Manager Harold Pudliner and Councilman Joe Cyburt, who is the Hillclimb Association president, both said they knew nothing of the notice.
