State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police were called to a burglary at 690 Summer Mountain Road, Towamensing Township.
They said it occurred between noon Sept. 13 and 8:57 a.m. Sept. 14. The victims are Ariel Ramos, 36, of Kresgeville, and the Palmerton Area High School.
Stolen were IQ Sound brand equipment valued at $599 and a Master brand lock keyholder worth $32, police said.
• A 47-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, both from Saylorsburg, were cited for a Dog Law violation after police were called to Ramblewood Drive, Ross Township, m at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 14.
Police said a 41-year-old woman from Saylorsburg reported the suspects’ dog was not confined and attacked her dog. Police said the attacking dog is also not registered.
• Police arrested Natasha Garger, 39, of Wind Gap, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child after they were called to Emerson Road, Ross Township, at 9:25 a.m. Sept. 11.
Police said they responded there when a 4-year-old boy from Wind Gap was found near Route 115. They said the mother was located and charged accordingly.
• A 37-year-old Tobyhanna man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police were called to Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township at 12:432 a.m. Sept. 15.
Police said they were called to the scene due to suspicious activity and determined the man had been driving a vehicle that he parked at the scene.
• Two Lehighton man, ages 62 and 55, were charged with simple harassment after police were called to Centre Street in Parryville at 6:47 p.m. Sept. 13.
Police said they engaged in a mutual physical altercation in which minor injuries resulted. Neither man wanted to press charges, police said.
• A 25-year-old man from Albion was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident at 10:52 p.m. Sept. 19 on Robinhood Drive, Polk Township.
Police said the victim is a 32-year-old woman from Kunkletown. She was uninjured, they said.
• A 25-year-old Lehighton man is the victim of a terroristic threats incident police were called to at 11:04 p.m. Sept. 18 on Bear Creek Drive in Penn Forest Township.
Police said they had escorted Lehighton emergency medical services personnel to a man’s residence after he contacted 9-1-1 saying he had chest pain. They said that while on the scene, the man spoke with police through his surveillance camera, threatening them. Police said the man told police to exit his property as he had driven himself to the hospital. They said he proceeded to text the county communications center, threatening police.
Police said an on-call district attorney approved terroristic threats charges against the man but the charges were then withdrawn.
• A 73-year-old Kunkletown woman was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident at 10:44 a.m. Aug. 28 on Corktree Road, Polk Township.
Police said the victim is a 71-year-old man from Kunkletown.
