State police at Troop N, Hazleton, said officers will be conducting sobriety checkpoints/roving DUI patrols in the southern region of Luzerne County during the final days of September.

The initiative is in support of state police’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Against Drunk Driving efforts, designed to reduce alcohol-related traffic crashes on area roads.
