State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A Tamaqua woman reported a forgery incident in Walker Township. She told police a check she mailed to a company in Philadelphia to purchase items for her business was intercepted between Aug. 21 and 26.
The name of the payee was changed and the check was cashed. It was in the amount of $29,576.74.
• A 38-year-old Allentown woman was cited on two counts of harassment by physical contact after police responded to an incident on Second Street in Coaldale at 10:25 p.m. Sept. 10.
Police said they were called to a residence on Second Street, where a 36-year-old man said the suspect refused to leave the home. He said that while he attempted to get her to leave, she shoved him to the ground. A 24-year-old woman told police the suspect scratched her.
• Police said someone found a G3C Taurus 9 mm semiautomatic handgun and ammunition along Deer Trail, Rush Township on Sept. 17.
• A 27-year-old New Philadelphia woman was cited for simple harassment after police at 10:14 a.m. Sept. 16 on Macomb Street, New Philadelphia.
The victim is a 23-year-old man from New Philadelphia.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident, police said.
• A driver is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after an incident at 2:43 p.m. Sept. 16 on Eleanor Avenue, West Mahanoy Township.
Police said a man was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle outside a residence when he was taken into custody.
• Police responded to a harassment complaint at 2:36 p.m. Sept. 17 on Kimber Street, New Philadelphia. No other information on the incident was provided.
• Police are investigating a theft reported at 7:54 p.m. Sept. 12 from a representative of the victim, Techline Technologies, Willow Grove.
Police said a business check that was intercepted, duplicated and cashed in the Bronx, New York. The amount was $6,804.70.
