Carbon County commissioners approved or acknowledged the following personnel moves within several departments during their meeting last week.

• Retirement: Lorenzo P. Cinicola of Leesport, operations/maintenance director, effective Sept. 26.

• Prison board appointment: Justine M. Miller of Tamaqua, corrections officer, effective Sept. 15.

• Resignations: Kelly A. Kelso of Lehighton, county caseworker intern, Children and Youth, effective Aug. 14; and Joshua J. Jacobs of Nesquehoning, 911 assistant manager-addressing coordinator, communications center, effective Sept. 12.

• Hires: Bret A. Badellino of Lansford, part-time K-9 officer, effective Sept. 19.

• Court retirement: Joseph J. Berke of Walnutport, deputy chief adult probation officer, effective Oct. 1.

• Court change of status: Charles E. Baker III of Jim Thorpe, from IT specialist, information technology; to IT specialist, court computer information, effective Sept. 29.

• Domestic relations resignation: Tracy M. Smith of Lehighton, specialist II, effective Sept. 19.

• Domestic relations change of status: Jennifer L. Rossino of Jim Thorpe, from specialist I to specialist II, effective Sept. 22.

• Recorder of deeds change of status: Shelly A. Kurdziel of Lehighton, from second deputy to acting first deputy; and Margaret A. Boswell of Jim Thorpe, from coordinator of records/indexer, to acting second deputy, both effective Sept. 29.

• Sheriff resignations: Kyle R. Krempasky of Lehighton, deputy sheriff (certified); and Ryan J. Rehatchek of Nesquehoning, deputy sheriff, both effective Sept. 26.
