No fishing.
A fledgling pay-to-fish program at Eurana Park in Weatherly is a no-go for this year, according to the borough manager.
Harold Pudliner told borough council Monday that there just wasn’t enough time to get everything set up and people hired this year.
“This late in the season, we’re going to just put it off until spring,” he said.
The new recreation program was launched to allow people to use the lake, which is no longer used for swimming due to increased cost for lifeguards, staff and chemicals.
Council hoped to launch the program this summer and work out any kinks, as it heads into next year.
The program will allow people to fish with a one rod and two fish limit for $10, or two rods with a total four fish limit for an additional $5. Rental of equipment will also be available.
