The Mahoning Creek running through the village of Mantzville in West Penn Township is all but dry. For over a century area farmers have relied on the stream for water for their livestock. Many municipalities have burn bans in effect. There were some sprinkles on Wednesday but it didn’t make a dent in the water tables.
