Towamensing takes no action on condo project

Towamensing Township supervisors discussed a proposal for the Lakeside Investment Group Condominium Declaration earlier this month but no action was taken. The project would be on Route 209, near the Raceway gas station.

Attorney David Horvath attended the planning commission meeting and presented the proposal.

According to the planning commission minutes, the current proposal is for a condominium ownership scenario consisting of two units, one being the existing convenience store and old car wash building, the other being the three self-storage buildings at the rear of the property.

The commission recommended the supervisors accept the condominium proposal with the condition that the units be clearly indicated; contain the footprint of the current buildings, with all other area designated as common on the site plan; and that a subdivision plan not be required.
