State police at Stroudsburg

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following incidents:

• Jeffrey Fabel, 51, of Stroudsburg, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 4:49 p.m. Aug. 29.

He was stopped in a 2001 GMC Jimmy in the 6100 block of Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

• Police said a Megan’s Law registrant, whom they did not name, is facing charges of failure to comply with the law.

They said he arrived at their barracks in Hamilton Township at 10:17 a.m. Sept. 6 to update Megan’s Law information after being directed to do so by the Megan’s Law Section between Sept. 1-7, after which it was determined he had purchased a 2002 Dodge Dakota approximately three weeks earlier.

Police said a Megan’s Law registrant is required to update information in his/her records within three business days.
