The Schuylkill County commissioners appointed another member to the three-member boards hearing appeals to the property tax reassessments.

On Wednesday, the commissioners appointed Gregory Mensch of Auburn to the boards of appeals, who will be hearing appeals to the new property tax reassessments made by Vision Government Services, the firm doing the reassessment for the county

The appeals will be going on through Oct. 31, after which property owners can appeal their new assessments to Schuylkill County Court, if they are not satisfied with the appeal adjustment made by the three-person board.
