State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 37-year-old man from Glen Rock, New Jersey, was cited for harassment after police responded to an incident at 5:37 p.m. July 23 on High Hill Road, Polk Township.

Police said a 35-year-old woman from Effort told them she was harassed by “her ex.”

• A 64-year-old Effort man is the victim is a theft by deception incident reported to police at 1 p.m. July 21.

The resident of Meadow Drive, Polk Township, told police that he provided an unknown person his debit card information and gmail credentials.

• A Kunkletown woman is facing DUI charges.

Police said they were called at 1:41 a.m. on Aug. 6 to Susquehanna Street in Jim Thorpe for a report of suspicious activity and found a 2014 Ford Focus. It had been driven by the 41-year-old woman.

The woman is being charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

• A 43-year-old man from Gilbert was lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, on simple assault and harassment charges after police responded to an incident at 9:12 p.m. Aug. 2 on Weir Mountain Road, Polk Township.

Police said the man shoved a 45-year-old woman from Gilbert several times, resulting in sheet rock holes in a wall in the residence.

• Steven Brownmiller, 62, of Lehighton, was charged with burglary after police responded to the East Penn Sportsman’s Club, 61 Club Lane, East Penn Township.

They said the break-in occurred between 1:30 and 1:43 a.m. July 27.

Police said a 2018 Dodge was involved in the incident.
