A Slatington man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Authorities say the incident took place late on Jan. 29 on the porch of a home on North Second Street in Slatington.

The homeowner told police he had CCTV footage of the encounter and provided a copy to investigators.

The video showed a man and a girl entering the porch and engaging in sexual activity.

Police identified the man as 18-year-old Christian Casillas. The girl told investigators she met Casillas through Snapchat and told him she was 13. She said Casillas told her he was 16.

On Jan. 29, she met him and walked with him to the location seen in the video.

She later confirmed to police that the male in the footage was Casillas. Casillas is charged with statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, and corruption of minors.

He is free on $20,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 19 before District Judge Tom Creighton in Slatington.
