State police at Schuylkill Haven - crashes
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:
• Jacob A. Heckman, 20, of Mahanoy City, was injured after a three-vehicle crash at 3:14 p.m. on June 19 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Schuylkill EMS to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville.
Police said he was operating a 2024 Yamaha that struck the rear of a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Tayla M. Jones, 20, of Pottsville, and was thrown from the cycle onto a Toyota Prius driven by Gina C. Whalen, 54, of Orwigsburg.
Police said all three vehicles were towed from the scene.
Heckman was cited after the crash, police said.
• Irene J. Schlack, 79, of Orwigsburg, was involved in a crash at 5:42 a.m. on July 20 on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township.
She was transported by personnel from the Auburn Fire Company Ambulance Service to the Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Police said she was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox northbound when it left its lane of travel and hit a guide rail. It traveled back onto the roadway and overturned. The Equinox was towed from the scene.
Schlack was cited after the crash, police said.
• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:11 p.m. on July 19 on Fair Road in South Manheim Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Robert W. Breisch, 77, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2009 Nissan Rogue eastbound when it made contact with a utility pole that was laying across the eastbound lane.
Police said the Nissan had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
• Madelyn M. Knecht, 74, of Orwigsburg, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 2:45 p.m. on July 15 on Route 61 in Port Clinton, police said.
She refused a medical services transport from the scene.
Police said she was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion that was involved in an incident with a 2023 Nissan driven by Robert W. Neupauer, 67, of Allentown. He was uninjured, police said.
No details of the crash were provided by police.
