State police at Fogelsville

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 69-year-old man from Hausman Circle, Lowhill Township, New Tripoli, reported a bank fraud incident to police at noon June 25.

Police said he arrived at the lobby of their barracks to report the loss of $34,200, saying he received notice from his bank that multiple transfers were completed from his account online. Police said cash was transferred from the man’s credit card and transfers were made from his checking and savings accounts.

• A 24-year-old man from New Tripoli was charged with criminal mischief after an incident that occurred at 7:22 p.m. May 28 on Flint Hill Road, Lynn Township.

Police said the victim is a 50-year-old man from New Tripoli.

They said the suspect exited his residence, took off his pants and threw rocks at three passing motorists, causing damage to at least one of the vehicles.

Police said the left quarter panel and rear door of a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe had $1,500 in damage.

• An 80-year-old woman from Schnecksville is the victim is a theft by disposition of funds incident police were called to at 11:45 a.m. June 26.

Police said fraudulent charges were made to the bank account of the woman who resides on Cambridge Court, Lowhill Township.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft incident that was reported to them at 8:49 a.m. July 9.

The victim is a 60-year-old man from Kempton.

Police said they were notified by personnel at the New Tripoli Bank, Madison Street, Lynn Township, that someone entered the bank at approximately 5 p.m. July 8 and attempted to cash a fraudulent check.

• Police said they were summoned to a theft by deception/impersonation incident at 10 a.m. July 4 on Golden Key Road, Lynn Township.

They said a 78-year-old man from Kempton was “scammed” out of $400 after receiving a telephone call stating he owed money.
