An ordinance is advancing in Lehigh Township after a vote at this week’s board of supervisors meeting.
Supervisor Janet Sheats made a motion to have solicitor Dave Backenstoe move forward with an ordinance for open space and land preservation to be put on the ballot in spring.
The motion passed, with Jones, Sheats and Gerald Pritchard voting yes. Supervisor David Hess voted no.
“I think there should be another town hall to discuss it for residents,” Hess said.
Supervisor Cindy Miller was absent.
