State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Kenneth J. Stroede, 41, of Tamaqua, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 6:17 p.m. June 10 on Route 209 in Lynn Township, police said.

He had “possible injuries” and was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus, Mahoning Township.

Police said Stroede was driving a 2014 GMC pickup truck westbound in rainy conditions when it entered the eastbound land, rotated once, exited the roadway and hit a tree. It continued and then struck several other trees.

• A 6-year-old boy from New Tripoli was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:59 p.m. June 19 on Route 100 in Lowhill Township.

Police said he did not require a medical transport from the scene.

They said the crash involved vehicles driven by Charles E. Kellar III, 64, of Holicong, and by Joseph A. Madar II, 37, of New Tripoli, in which the boy was a passenger.

Police did not provide any other information on the incident.

• Monica P. Kromer, 54, of Allentown, was after a one-vehicle crash at 11 p.m. July 1 on Route 100 in Lowhill Township. She was uninjured in the crash.

Police said she was driving a 2012 Hyundai Elantra southbound and was negotiating a left curve in the road when she lost control of it on the wet surface. The car, which left the roadway and struck a ditch, was towed from the scene, police said.

• A 24-year-old New Tripoli man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 6:40 p.m. July 4 on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Toyota that crashed at mile marker 50.5. They did not provide any other details of the incident.
