Buckcherry, which scored its biggest mainstream hit with the late-2000s single “Sorry,” ranks among the entertainment highlights hitting local and regional venues over the next two weeks.

The rock band, which released its latest studio album “Roar Like Thunder” in June, will play Penn’s Peak. The latter will also host blues legend Budd Guy.

Among other entertainment, ventriloquist/comedian Terry Fator performs at Wind Creek Event Center, while bluegrass singer Sam Bush plays the Musikfest Café.

In the retro-film world, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater hosts the ninth VHS Fest and “Wanna See Something Weird,” the latter celebrating Seattle video company Something Weird.

• Deck Parties, 6:30 p.m. Schedule: July 5, Jake Kaligis Band, playing blues, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton, James Taylor and original material; July 10, Who Knows Band, playing folk, blues, classic rock, Southern rock, pop, and rhythm and blues.

• Buddy Guy, 8 p.m. July 11. The Louisiana-born blues guitarist/singer, who released his first music in the 1950s, was a session guitarist for Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf in the 1960s. Guy, a pioneer of Chicago’s West Side sound, plans to release a new studio album on July 30.

• Buckcherry, 8 p.m. July 17. Formed in 1995 in Anaheim, California, the rock band hit No. 1 at rock radio with its 1999 debut single “Lit Up.” Buckcherry, whose 2007 single “Sorry” reached the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100, released its 11th studio album “Roar Like Thunder” in June.

• The Mighty Manatees, 8 p.m. July 5. The act will perform a tribute to reggae icon Bob Marley.

• Karen Rontowski, 4 p.m. July 13. The psychic stand-up, originally from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, performs stand-up comedy and reads tarot cards. Rontowski, performing stand-up for 30-plus years, has two DryBar comedy specials to her credit.

• “Wanna See Something Weird?” 6 p.m. July 4. The theater and the American Genre Film Archive celebrate Seattle video company Something Weird with 35 mm screenings of 1966’s “Teenage Gang Debs” and 1968’s “She-Mob.” Lisa Petrucci, whose late husband Mike Vraney founded Something Weird Video in 1990, will attend. Show time at sundown.

• AGFA Mystery Ripper: A Secret Triple Bill, 6 p.m. July 5. Ivan Peycheff, of the American Genre Film Archive, hosts the event, with Something Weird’s Lisa Petrucci also on hand. The theater will screen three surprise films. Show time at sundown.

• VHS Fest 9, July 11 to 13. The theater, Lunchmeat and Saturn’s Core present the event, with The Found Footage Festival’s Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher hosting. Eight films will screen from VHS tapes, with Frank Henenlotter — director of “Basket Case,” “Brain Damage” and “Bad Biology” — among those attending. Gates open at 3 p.m. for a vendor market.

• The Wallflowers, 8 p.m. July 11. Formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, the act centers on singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jakob Dylan. The Wallflowers scored 1990s-era hits such as “6th Avenue Heartache,” “One Headlight” and a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes.” The band released its seventh studio album, “Exit Wounds,” in 2021.

• Terry Fator, 8 p.m. July 12. Born in Dallas, Texas, the ventriloquist/impressionist won the second season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” in 2007. Fator, also a comedian and singer, works with puppets such as Winston the Impersonating Turtle, Elvis Presley impersonator Maynard Thompkins, Vikki the Cougar, and famous singers.

• “I Want My ’80s,” 7 p.m. July 13. The lineup features Rick Springfield (“Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers”), John Waite (“Missing You,” “Change”), Wang Chung (“Dance Hall Days,” “Everybody Have Fun Tonight”) and Paul Young (“Every Time You Go Away,” “Oh Girl”).

• Tina Friml, 7:30 p.m. July 15, Fowler Blast Furnace Room. Hailing from Vermont, the standup comedian uses animated optimism to talk about living with cerebral palsy. In 2023, Friml made her late-night stand-up debut on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

• Sam Bush, 7:30 p.m. July 16, Muskfest Café. Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Bush was a member of progressive bluegrass band New Grass Revival from 1972 to 1989. The bluegrass singer/musician released his most recent solo album, “Radio John,” in 2022.

• “Beetlejuice JR.,” July 11 to 13. The show, based on the 1988 film of the same name and adapted from the 2019 musical, centers on Lydia Deetz, a teenager coping with grief by embracing the unusual. She finds herself in a haunted house with a recently deceased couple and the mischievous Betelgeuse, a demon bio-exorcist she summons to scare away the living.
