Cedar Crest earns exercise science accreditation

Cedar Crest College announces its Integrative Exercise Science graduate program has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

The prestigious accreditation underscores Cedar Crest’s commitment to providing high-quality education and training that meets the national quality assurance standards established by CAAHEP.

“This is an exciting time for the Master of Science program in Integrative Exercise Science at Cedar Crest College,” said Dianne Babbit, program director for the Integrative Exercise Science graduate program and associate professor in the Health Sciences Department. “This accreditation is an official recognition validating that Cedar Crest’s program meets national standards in preparing students to excel in positions as clinical exercise physiologists.”

Dr. Barry S. Eckert, president of CAAHEP, emphasizes the importance of accreditation, saying, “Choosing a CAAHEP-accredited program is crucial for students seeking a career in allied health. It ensures that they receive an education that is both comprehensive and relevant to current industry needs, ultimately benefiting their future employers and people receiving care.”
