Two area businesses have been cited by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, for alleged violations of state liquor laws:
• Legends Valley at Best Station, Slatington, was cited for failure to adhere to the conditions of a prior agreement entered into with the state liquor board. The violations occurred between Jan. 19 and April 28, resulting in the placement of additional restrictions upon the licensed premises.
• Frank Boslet, trading as Frank J. Boslet Jr., Tamaqua, was cited for violations of state liquor laws on Feb. 16. Police said employees of the business failed to require patrons to vacate the premises not later than one-half hour after the required time; permitted patrons to possess and/or remove alcoholic beverages from the premises after 2:30 a.m.; and served alcoholic beverages to patrons between 2 and 9 a.m.
The charges will be brought before an administrative judge, who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.
