State police at Bethlehem - crashes

State police at Bethlehem reported the following crashes:

• Samantha J. Brett, 32, of Emmaus, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:20 p.m. May 30 on Route 22 in Bethlehem Township.

Police said she did not require a medical transport from the scene.

They said she was a passenger in a 2012 Honda CRV. They said the Honda was struck from behind by a 2013 Buick driven eastbound by William Jones Jr., 35, of Saylorsburg. He was uninjured in the crash.

Jones was cited after the crash.

• Czarina A. Duch, 27, of Slatington, is the victim of a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 3:57 p.m. May 13 at the intersection of East Hillcrest Lane and Lehigh Street in Washington Township.

Police said Jeff M. Butler, 56, of Easton, was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 east on Lehigh Street. When he attempted to turn left onto East Hillcrest Lane, a trailer attached to the truck hit the front of the 2012 Subaru Legacy driven by Duch. Butler then reversed the vehicle, striking the front end of the Legacy before fleeing.

Butler was identified and later located and cited for the crash.

Duch refused emergency medical services care. Her car had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• Therese M. Lilly, 65, of Lehighton, was injured after a two-vehicle crash at 10:20 p.m. May 13 on Route 873 in Washington Township.

She was transported by Northern Valley Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. The other driver, Felix Deleon Jr., 53, of Allentown, was transported to the same hospital.

Police said Deleon was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu southbound when he fell asleep and the car drifted into the oncoming lane, striking a 2005 Toyota Camry operated by Lilly. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Police said Deleon was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, aggravated assault while driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and other offenses.

Lilly was cited for the crash.
