June 6, 2009 — A number of Times News area football players participate in the annual Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association North-South Football Classic. Tamaqua’s Caleb Shilko accounts for both of the North’s touchdowns with a pair of scoring receptions in the South’s 21-13 victory. Shilko snares a 7-yard TD pass from Marian’s Will Eckhart and also catches a 6-yard scoring strike from North Schuylkill signal-caller Garrett Kelly. Shilko ends with 11 catches for 123 yards to win the North MVP award. Eckhart completes 5-of-7 passes for 109 yards and rushes for 32 yards, while Jim Thorpe’s Kysheem Lynch adds five catches for 110 yards. Schuylkill Haven standout Zach Barket rushes for 207 yards and a TD for the winners.
